Station 6-5's Fire Prevention Group was on the road twice this week to visit local students.

On Tuesday, October 11th we were at Letort Elementary School to visit with about 150 students from grades K-3.  The children were very excited to have the firemen visit with them.  We even got to eat lunch with our young students as we waited to visit with the afternoon Kindergarten class.  Thanks to FF K. Miller, FF A. Kemp, FF C. Kilby, LT M. Cauler and Capt. L. Lucarino for making the trip to Letort Elementary School.

On Wednesday, October 12th we were asked to visit with the Pre-School class at Pre-School Express.  The children were treated a full fire prevention lesson including a tour of ENG 6-5-3.  Thanks to FF B. Arianno, FF M. Grant, FF D. Piccolo, FF A. Berkley, FF E. Smith, LT M. Cauler, and CAPT. L. Lucarino for taking the time out of their day to spend time teaching our young adults.  The group at Pre-School Express was also able to watch us as respond as we were dispatched to the Station 6-4 Collapse Call just as we were wrapping up our day of Fire Prevention.

If you would like us to visit your group (regardless of your age) to do some fire prevention please call the station at 872-9345 and leave a message.
