Assistant Chief Dave Wiker, Captain Larry Lucarino, Lieutentant Chris Delong, and Firefighter Karen Giordano completed 12 Weeks of training this past week to receive their NFPA Pro Board certification in the Core, Vehicle Rescue and Machinery, and Hazardous Materials disciplines.

The review classes were held at Station 6-5 and were instructed by Jamie Rohrer, Bob Devonshire, Chuck Stanford, and Jim Lynng.  A written test was proctored by Bucks County Community College on Thursday night with a Practical being done on Saturday.  The class was also helped by our resident rope guru and Collapse Team Manager, Ken Zechman.

Firefighters from East Petersburg Station 2-3, Eden Station 2-4, Highville Station 6-2, Columbia Station 8-4, and Harrisburg Fire also completed the certification as well.

While the Practical was being administered Millersville Volunteers handled 4 calls for service.  Thanks to Station 6-6 (Lancaster Twp.) and Station 8-4 for assisting us with your rescues while ours was out of service for the testing.
