2008/2009 FIRE COMPANY BANQUET

The 2008/2009 Banquet was held Feb 7th at Millersville University. There was over 100+ folks in attendance. Members and their family's were joined by representitives from Millersville Borough, Manor Township, neighboring fire companies, and others. The key-note speaker was Ed Knight. Who is a well known Fire Investigator in the area.

Some special awards this year:

The "President's Award" was awarded to Matt Grant. For his assistance to the President during the last year's building renovations.

The "Chief's Award" was awarded to Deputy Chief Mike Hite (a member since 1967) Whom stepped down as Deputy Chief this year. Mike was a line officer for many years, as well as serving on the Board of Directors and many-many other tasks during those 42 years.

The "Fire Fighter of the Year" was awarded to Dave Keen. Dave currently assists with maintenance of apparatus, serves on the Board of Directors, helps with fund raising and participates in many other activities.

"Rookie of the Year" went to James Hughes. Jim was a stand-out, as a new member of the company. 

The company awarded "Service Awards", "Top Call Runner", "Top Training" and even some practical joke awards during the evening. 

The Fire Company presented an award to the Jay Wallick Family's representitive Dave Reese. Who was on hand to accept for Jay's wife.

Mayor Moriarty also presented a "Mayor's Award" to Jay Wallick, it too was accepted by the family representitive. He also presented Larry Lucarino with a "Mayor's Award" presentation for his past service to the fire company, before moving to Bart, Pa. Larry is now a member there.

A special Thank you goes out to the Engine Crew from Washington Borough Fire Company; who stood bye during the event.
