Crews working the roof and Interior

Engine 4 and Tanker 6-5 were dispatched to assist Station 6-2 (Highville)with a chimney fire in the 600 Blk of Walnut Hill Road. The Engine was delayed because of a blown shut Walnut Hill Road. They were less then 1/4 mile from the address and had to turn around. Tanker 6-5 went another way only to run into more blown shut roads too, but the third direction was the winner for the crews.

When they arrived with 8 personnel they added on to the Engine crew from 6-2 who was fighting heavy fire on the second floor, which extended out of the chimney. Crews advanced two more lines to assist the 6-2 crew on the second floor.

Rescue 6-5 was added to the second alarm, as was Squad 6-5-1 for more manpower. The 6-5 House had 20 members operating during the fire.

Master Stream on the "D Side"

Crews had to contend with blowing snow, blocked roads, and limited access to the address, with over 3 feet of snow fromthe two back to back snow storms.

Command was Deputy Chief 6-2 (Hapke)

The 6-2 house was assisted by multiple other companies.
