Shortly after 7:30 am Tuesday Morning Station 6-4 (Lancaster City Fire Department) was dispatched to a Building Collapse with Injuries.
Battalion Chief Klugh along with Engine 6-4-1, Engine 6-4-2, Engine 6-4-3, Truck 6-4-1, Truck 6-4-2 Responded. Also responding were multiple EMS Units from Lancaster Emergency Medical Services 6-12.
The Battalion Chief arrived to find a large four story building had collapsed into a public transportation bus. A short time later the Chief requested a Second Alarm Assignment , along with the Rescue Task Force.
The front of a Commerical building collapsed on to the street and a public transportation bus passsing the front of the building. Some of the passengers were transported to area hospitals.

The immediate mission of the Task Force was to check the debris pile on the sidewalk area for victims. Technicians set up transits to monitor the building for any additional movement. While two search dogs operated below on the side walk area.

The Rescue Task Force Responded with Collapse 1, Collapse 2, Rescue 6-5, Squad 8-1, Haz-Mat 2-9-1 and Two Search Dogs (one from Millersville Fire and one from PA Company 1)
