Early Wednesday morning a Environmental Rescue Assignment was dispatched to Pittsburg Valley Road - Manor Township, for a male trapped between a tree and a portable saw mill. Engine 6-2-1, Rescue 6-5, Ambulance 5-3 and Medic 6-12-5 were dispatched.

Engine 6-2 and Chief 6-2 arrived to find a male pinned between a tree and a portable saw mill trailer, which had slid down a embankment.

Reverse direction winch operation

The crews from 6-5 and 6-2 shored and chained the rear of the trailer to additional anchors to keep it from sliding any farther down the embankment. Also used was a reverse direction winch operation to move the trailer uphill and to free the patient. Which was transported to the local hospital.
